Using the iPad for promo materials

Here's what I created this morning in honour of Darcy Pattison's RANDOM ACTS OF PUBLICITY, a week in which people (especially authors) are encouraged to post a review of an author friend's book on Amazon, Goodreads, Library Thing or somewhere else online:

Here's how I created it:

- Downloaded a free cardboard texture from CGTextures.com (my favourite texture source).

- Use the Ransom Letters app to create the cut-out letter words (took about 2 minutes), e-mailed the image to myself.

- Used Corel Painter to select out the individual words then pasted them onto the cardboard image, rotated some of the words to make it look more homemade.

- Used the Chalk brush (Dull Grainy Chalk variant) in Painter to write the rest of the text by hand in black.
