Survey: Do you outline or not?

Outlining Addict

I've posted a new survey via Survey Monkey. Please do answer via this link rather than in the comments section for your results to be included in the summary.

I'll post a follow-up on survey results next week. Thanks!

Yes but very loosely, so that I can still enjoy the surprises that pantsers have.

Basically I just put a list of events that need to happen in a scene on a index card. I never truly know how that event will play out. It's like saying I'm going to a big convention this weekend and seeing these people. I know what's going on and what needs to be done when, but I don't know how it's going to play out exactly until after I've written/experienced it.

Usually, I just take the idea and run with it. I only outline when I get stuck or lost and need to visually think out my next step.

I definitely outline, but sometimes it's halfway through the novel, when I get to the saggy middle.
