About the Torkidlit site

Contributors to the Torkidlit blog are active/contributing members of the group. This means we are not simply members of a virtual community of writers on Facebook, but also active participants within a group that meets in real-time. This doesn't mean we necessarily attend every monthly gathering, but it does mean that we try to attend as often as we can. Or if we can't attend the monthly tweetups, we make an effort to show our support in other ways, like attending our author member book events. We want to encourage a sense of community within our writers' group and we'd like to welcome you to be a part of it, too!

So if you're an MG or YA writer, living in the GTA and whether you'd like to get actively involved, or simply watch from the sidelines, we invite you to join the Toronto MG/YA Author group on Facebook to be kept updated about upcoming events and get-togethers.

And be sure to also check out our #torkidlit hashtag on Twitter as well as @HeleneBoudreau's and @inkyelbow's Twitter lists of torkidlit writers.

Thanks for visiting our site and we hope you'll stop by to introduce yourself to us!
